DJ Double L is a multi-genre, mobile DJ who has been DJing professionally since 2012. Born on the westside of Chicago and raised in one of Chicago's roughest neighborhoods, The Cabrini Green Housing projects. Music has always been an escape from reality for him. It has given him a positive outlet in spite of all of the negativity going on around him.

 

DJ Double L realized he had a love for music when he learned that he enjoyed singing at an early age. Although singing had not become his passion, he still enjoyed music and became one of the most popular dancers in the school! DJ Double L began performing with the dance group "Unda Pressure" and later started his own dance group "Total Chaos".

After completing high school, Double L attended the Illinois Center for Broadcasting (ICB) to pursue a radio career where he interned for 107.5 WGCI in Chicago, IL. Thereafter, he was offered a position at 102.3 WXLC as the Morning Show Producer.

 

Recently , DJ Double L stays close to the music industry by DJing private, corporate and community events. With 10+ years of experience, he has become one of Lake County and Cook County, Illinois most known DJs. Dj Double L is currently the resident DJ for the WanesWorld Entertainment monthly edition of “Blaze The Stage” talent showcase and  their “CTHU” Improv Comedy Shows Nationwide.
